Quick service restaurants understand that they need to captivate, impress and entice both loyal fans and new guests. It is more than hitting the drive-thru for convenience. Innovative menu items combined with favorite flavors are an instant hit. Taco Bell’s Chicken Bacon Ranch Street Chalupas are exactly that well-balanced bite.
Taco Bell continues to roll out new food items and dining experiences. From Lux Menus to value pricing, the Live Mas moment is a heaping helping food innovation.
The newest menu item is Chicken Bacon Ranch Street Chalupas. The latest addition combines a fan favorite Chicken Bacon Ranch with the growing in popularity Street Chalupas.
As Liz Matthews, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer, Taco Bell explained, “Chicken Bacon Ranch is a flavor that people instantly recognize and love. By pairing it with our Street Chalupas — a form that earns more and more fans with each passing iteration — we’re giving this iconic combo a new platform to shine in a way that’s unmistakably Taco Bell.
What Makes Chicken Bacon Ranch Street Chalupas So Craveable?
When Taco Bell launches a new menu item, it needs to be an instant hit. Over the past several years, almost every new food item has been a home run. Even if some items had a short lived menu duration, people were hungry to devour every morsel before the food became a distant memory.
With the Chicken Bacon Ranch Street Chalupas, the dish starts with toasted cheddar Street Chalupa shells. The crunchy texture combined with the rich cheese makes this meal hearty. While not the traditional street taco, it is a handheld food that delivers on its promise. It is satisfying yet not fussy.
The shells are filled with slow-roasted chicken, crispy bacon, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar cheese and Taco Bell’s creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce. The key to these ingredients is the Avocado Ranch Sauce. The condiment is just tangy enough to cut through all the cheese. Even though the pico de gallo adds some brightness and subtle spice, it needs the avocado ranch’s herby notes to balance all the cheesiness.
Of course, people will amplify the spice with their preferred hot sauce. It is smart that Taco Bell did not chose a spicy chicken or fiery condiment for this menu item. Even though the cheese could temper that heat, it would be too many elements packed into a hand-held bite.
The Street Chalupas are sold in a two-pack. Even the most voracious appetite will be satisfied with two.
Additionally, Taco Bell added Chicken Bacon Ranch Nacho Fries. While pairing this side with the Street Chalupas might be a little overpowering, it is smart to add a new Nacho Fries flavor. The popular dish can always get a twist.
The new menu items are available now. Check with restaurants for availability and pricing.
