Forget another bun or slice of bread. The biscuit reigns supreme at Short King Sandwich Shoppe. These stacked sandwiches from Pillsbury and Chain prove tender, flakey biscuit deliciousness makes every bite better.
Time and again, Chain proves that iconic food brands can get a bougie glow up. As many people think fondly of Pillsbury biscuits, General Mills cereals, and other iconic foods, those ingredients can be the foundation for something bigger, bolder, yet be rooted in that familiar flavor.
At Short King Sandwich Shoppe, those classic biscuits are the vehicle for a sandwich that is unlike anything grandma made. Whether it is a bite that requires an unhinged jaw or a combination that sparks a conversation, these sandwiches are the ones everyone will seek to try.
Speaking about the special collaboration, Maria Carolina Comings, Vice President and Business Unit Director for Pillsbury at General Mills shared, “Last year, we started making our biscuits with more of what people love — more flaky layers* for more delicious possibilities. The Short King Sandwich Shoppe is a celebration of that ‘more’ mindset, teaming up with Chain to show just how much you can do with a Pillsbury biscuit in a way that’s playful, unexpected and unmistakably Pillsbury.”

What are the Short King Sandwich Shoppe Menu Items?
Available from October 8 through November 6 at the Westfield Topanga Mall, the Short King Sandwich Shoppe menu features four items. They are Rise & Shine – Brunch, Peachy Keen Clucker – Dinner, Sweet Reign – Dessert, and Doughboy Deluxe.
The Doughboy Deluxe will be the most talked about menu item. Stacked as tall as the Pillsbury Doughboy with his signature chef’s hat, 8.75 inches tall, the sandwich is a fork and knife meal. Unlike a club sandwich or a gigantic burger, it would take a true feat to take one complete bite like a traditional sandwich.
While the size is impressive, the flavors deserve all the accolades. Basically, it stacks the three other items end to end. For people who want the ultimate Pillsbury biscuit experience, this one is the must order.
For anyone who prefers a more reasonable size meal, the Peachy Keen Clucker is the top choice. This biscuit celebrates Southern classics. Yes, it is a version of a fried chicken and biscuit but with a twist.
First, the peach hot honey is a condiment that needs to be part of more recipes. The juiciness combined with the swicy works well with the fried chicken. Additionally, it would work in a myriad of dishes. Just think of this flavor with some pulled pork.
Also, the sandwich features a Hatch chili pimento cheese. While pimento cheese is a Southern favorite, Hatch chili brings a Southwestern twist. The spiciness is approachable but still front and center.
This biscuit shows how food can connect regions, spark creativity, and be a flavor bomb. More importantly, it gives cooks permission to stack and experiment with ingredients. Sometimes the best combinations are the unlikely ones.
Even the Sweet Reign with the fennel-pollen dusted biscuit shows how to bring sweet, savory, innovation, and creativity together in a single bite. Being willing to take the road less traveled can be the experience to remember.
Excited to place an order at the Short King Sandwich Shoppe? Do not miss the opportunity to try these biscuits. More importantly, after eating the food, what will it inspire you to do in your own kitchen?
