General Mills cereals have been part of people’s core food memories for decades. From Saturday morning cartoon watching to having breakfast for dinner on a trying day, those flavors and characters bring smiles all around. Chain, the American Pop Cuisine brand, launched Chain Snacks. Those iconic cereals become eye popping desserts that satisfy in many ways.
Chain has been the food brand that found the perfect blend of nostalgia and creativity. From an elevated twist on a personalized pan pizza to sophisticated takes on tacos, those dishes have whimsy, yet the flavors are chef-driven.
Ahead of the Chain’s six-month residency, Craft Lab at Westfield Topanga Mall, the company unveiled Chain Snacks. The culinary team used favorite General Mills cereals as the flavor foundation for these desserts.
Speaking about the Chain collaboration, Megan Brooks, Business Unit Director for Family Favorite Cereals at General Mills, “This exciting new dining experience will give General Mills cereal fans the opportunity to experience unique, limited-edition desserts and drinks inspired by the familiar flavors they have loved for years.”
For Nicholas Kraft, Chief Creative Office of Chain, these specialty items are more than just sprinkling cereal into a dish. “To us, cereal is a foundational ingredient – like flour or olive oil, but with way better mascots.”
Each dish uses a General Mills cereal as the foundation of the dish. The familiar flavor appears in every bite. But, the bowl and spoon are no longer required.

Chain Snacks Launch Menu Revealed
To kick off the Chain Lab’s offerings, the Chain Snacks menu features seven desserts and drinks. The featured food items are: Lucky Charms Taco Frio, Honey Nut Cheerios Matcha Cloud, Reese’s Puffs Churros, Golden Grahams Toasted S’mores Bar, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Tiramisu, Ice Cream Cookie Crisp-wich, and Trix Berry Swirl Slush. While each dessert sounds delicious, the connection with the core cereal flavor and the traditional dish is clear.
The Lucky Charms Taco Frio will instantly be a hit. Although the choco-taco has risen from the discarded freezer’s depths, this version is visually vibrant and quite sweet. The combination of Lucky Charms cereal-flavored milk ice cream, marshmallow, and chocolate make it quite sweet.

Still, this dessert is meant to be fun and indulgent. It is like the perfect dessert sitting on top of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Every bite is worth the calories.
The most unlikely choice is the Honey Nut Cheerios Matcha Cloud. While matcha drinks, specifically layered matcha drinks, continue to fill menus, this version has nuanced flavors. Using honey cereal-flavored milk, the subtle nuttiness lifts the earthy matcha. Combined with a salted honey cold foam, the sweetness comes through without being cloys.
Chain better watch out. Salted honey cold foam might be the new beverage trend that other brands steal. No one has this flavor. It works well with matcha as well as coffee or even refreshers. For anyone who loves whipped honey, this idea is a game changer.

Chain Snacks Delivers What People Crave
Overall, the Chain Snacks menu will be hugely successful. At the heart of each food is the classic cereal and its iconic flavor. But, each one has a spin that makes it chefy in the best possible way.
Never pretentious or superfluous, these dishes prove that any favorite food can be transformed with imagination and craft. That idea is and will always be the heart of Chain.
Looking ahead, the next collaboration needs to push the flavor boundaries even more. It goes beyond a special garnish or flavor profile reference. The next menu needs to inspire guests to get in their home kitchen and cook.
Chain Snacks opens on September 2, 2026. It is part of Chain’s residency at Topanga Social inside Westfield Topanga Mall. Additional launches will be announced later in the residency.
