The beloved Disney food festival returns on August 27. Since the 2026 Epcot Food and Wine Opening Day will be a hot one, these frozen beverages will help everyone beat the heat.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Epcot Food and Wine. Since the festival runs through November 21, 2026, there are many opportunities to visit time and again over the long run. Additionally, some of the marketplaces open later in the festival’s run, which encourages people to visit multiple times.

With the late August start date, the Florida heat can have guests prioritizing cool, refreshing options. Of course, everyone loves Canada’s filet mignon, but sometimes a frozen drink can make the afternoon more enjoyable.

What Frozen Beverages and Treats Are a Must on Opening Day?

2026 Epcot Food and Wine Festival features several new and returning frozen beverages and treats. The list includes non-alcoholic and alcoholic options across the various marketplaces. While some people may choose to imbibe, just remember to take a water break during the warm weather.

Here are a few options that are a must try on the Opening Day of the Epcot festival.

  • Frozen Pomegranate & Raspberry Tea (Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey Menu)
  • Frozen Waffle Old Fashioned – new (Connections Eatery Festival Menu)
  • Paleta de Moras – new – (Mexico Menu)
  • Summer in Spain – (Spain Menu)
  • Spicy Strawberry-Mango Smoothie – new – (Block and Hans Festival Menu)
  • Frozen Caipirinha (Brazil Menu)
  • Chilled French Cosmo – (French Menu)
  • Spiced Apple Slushy – new – (La Poutinerie Hosted by Air Canada Festival Menu)
  • Frozen Szarlotka – (Swirled Showcase)
  • Irish Milk Shake (Swirled Showcase)

The list includes frozen desserts, sweet beverages, and few frozen cocktails. Several of the options have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. Given the rise in mocktail’s popularity, it is vital for the Disney food and beverage team to offer both choices.

While it is new to the Food and Wine Festival, the Spiced Apple Slushy has been available at the La Poutinerie Hosted by Air Canada Festival Menu marketplace since this summer. The ginger with sweet apple is perfection on a hot day. That touch of spice feels like a cool breeze. Even if the drink melts quickly, it is still quite refreshing.

Personally, the non-alcoholic version is better than the vodka version. Even though many people enjoy drinking around the world, mocktails are enjoyable on hot days.

Many returning favorites are always a good choice. From the Irish Milk Shake to the Frozen Pomegranate & Raspberry Tea, these frozen beverages are always delicious. When table space is a premium, sipping dessert is often preferred.

Lastly, the Paleta de Moras is a popsicle, not a drink. But, it is quite tasty with a Mexican Lager. Many people floated popsicles in sparkling wine. Why not switch to beer or enjoy them side-by-side.

These frozen beverages and many other delicious food and drinks will be served on 2026 Epcot Food and Wine opening day on August 27. What will be your first bite?
