Speaking about the program refresh, Joshua Fine, Chief Digital Officer, Panera Bread explained, “From everyday favorites to exclusive offers, we have reimagined MyPanera to deliver more value with every purchase, and the new MyPanera is built to give our guests what they have told us they want most – more transparency, better rewards and more choice. Now, MyPanera is truly living into its name by giving our guests rewards that are flexible, tailored and highly personalized to their preferences.”
How Can MyPanera Members Get Their Freebie?
Currently, Panera has over 70 million members in its loyalty program. The revamped program becomes a points-based rewards system as of today. The change allows guests to earn more and redeem rewards for more free Panera items. Overall, the program looks to celebrate loyalty with even more benefits.
To kick off the revamped program, every current MyPanera member will get 500 bonus points in their account with a purchase made from August 19 through September 1. Those points are enough to redeem for a free Energy Refresher or Fresca.
Additionally, rewards members have exclusive access to Tropical Mango Pineapple Energy Refresher. This special flavor is only available via the app and launches alongside the reward program revamp.
While the bonus points are a big deal, it shows the power in the new system. The program is a flexible points-based system. For every $1 spent, guests earn 10 points. Those points can be redeemed for favorite menu items. Most importantly, guests choose their food or beverage.
For example, a free bagel or mini bakery treat is just 250 points. A guest who goes to Panera every Friday for breakfast can easily have a free treat in just a few visits.
