Hungry to Try the New Summer Kroger Ice Cream Flavors?
Since summer and ice cream are perfect partners, Kroger’s new summer ice cream flavors capture classic nostalgia with an added dash of whimsy. The three new flavors are Seventh Inning Swirl, Sweet As Cherry Pie, and Banana Split Social.
The Seventh Inning Swirl captures the flavors of the favorite ballpark snack in a frozen form. The caramel popcorn flavored ice cream is studded with pralined peanuts and a caramel swirl.
It is smart that Kroger did not add popcorn into the ice cream because it would not retain its crisp texture. Overall, this flavor would be delicious in an ice cream sandwich.
The Sweet as Cherry Pie is another smart summer flavor. With pie pieces, cherry swirl and a cherry pie flavored base, it is a lovely nod to the classic dessert without all the effort. Plus, this ice cream would make a great base for a deconstructed pie, ice box cake or trifle.
Overall, there are a plethora of Kroger ice cream options to try this summer. With the free pint offer, why not pick a non-traditional or new flavor to try. Sometimes it pays to push the flavor boundaries.
