After blasting off with Artemis II and serving new seasonal flavors, Krispy Kreme brings another epic offering to the table. The Malcolm in the Middle Mix Pack offers a curious twist on the traditional dozen doughnuts.
With nostalgia flavoring food trends, the same feeling crosses over to pop culture. Iconic television shows have been given the reboot treatment. “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair” is a prime example.
Now streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, the latest chapter of Malcolm and his family returns to the screen. Whether age has served everyone well remains to be seen.
To celebrate the new chapter, Krispy Kreme launched Malcolm in the Middle Mix Pack. Available now through April 12, the specialty doughnuts feature 10 Original Glazed Doughnuts surrounding 10 Original Glazed Doughnut Dots and 10 Sprinkle Doughnut Dots “in the middle.”
The mix doughnuts are a smart idea on many levels. First, it is nice to be able to have both “dots” and doughnuts. Some people only want a little taste. Everyone knows that it is a “food don’t” to put a half eaten doughnut back in the box. This option gives people choices.
Second, it appeals to families. Sometimes kids just prefer “dots” to doughnuts. Parents should not have to buy extra food. One box should be sufficient.

Many people love a mix of doughnuts in a dozen. Although it can cause a mad dash to the table to grab a favorite doughnut, the reality is that people’s tastes vary. But, it is important to be considerate of everyone around the table.
