While many people turn to coffee as their preferred pick-me up, beverage trends celebrate vibrant, zesty and fruity flavors. Starbucks Energy Refresher boosts the caffeine without compromising ingredients.
Recently, Starbucks focused on customization. Whether it is the re-imagined chai or saving that signature latte recipe, people want to feel in control of every order.
Additionally, people want transparency with their ingredients. Beyond the desire to have functional aspects to every beverage ingredient, fewer processed foods is a priority. Understanding what and why an item is consumed guides people’s choices.
The new Energy Refresher is a response to those beverage trends. Not only does the new drink give consumers options to change their favorite beverage, but the added ingredients fall within the category that they prefer.
As Dana Pellicano, senior vice president of global product experience explained, “We are proud to use natural ingredients. It’s innovation and flavor without compromise. We want to make sure we can give customers choices they feel good about.”
What Are the New Starbucks Energy Refresher Options?
The Starbucks Energy Refresher is available in several forms. First, any Starbucks Refreshers can be adapted to transform into an Energy Refresher. The caffeine boost from nature and B-vitamins increases the beverages by 75 mg. The increase is consistent across all sizes.
By giving guests options, it adds the variety that people want. Some days need that boosted energy kick. Other days are more subdue. From extra caffeine to no caffeine, all the options are available.
Additionally, Starbucks launched new Mango Strawberry Refreshers. The tangy, sweet and juicy beverages are quite drinkable. With pieces of real fruit, the year-round drink brings a taste of freshness.
The combination of mango and strawberry is not necessarily the most common pairing, but it works well in a beverage. Strawberry is traditional, even a touch nostalgic. Who didn’t grow up with strawberry jam on their sandwich?
Mango has surged in popularity. The tropical fruit is more than just a part of a fruit salad or the sweetness in a spicy salsa. Mango balances the strawberry, keeping it from being either too tart or too sweet.
Plus, the fruit combination works on its own, with lemonade or with coconutmilk. Versatility is key to any new Starbucks beverage launch.
Additionally, the drink’s color is quite enticing. As any food company appreciates, showcasing what people are drinking is just as important as sipping on it. Although no one is suggesting that people have to coordinate their outfit to match the beverage, a colorful choice always appeals.
Both the new Energy Refresher and Mango Strawberry Refreshers hit stores on April 7. Check locations for availability and pricing.
