As anticipation builds for the Big Game, Dunkin’ knows that people are thirsty for a humorous new take. This year, Ben Affleck stepped away from the drive-thru. But, he gathered new friends at the table. Thirsty for another epic comeback from the coffee giant’s biggest fan?

Time and again, Dunkin and Ben Affleck collaborated on hilarious commercials. It is more than his casual time spent at the drive-thru. The iconic DunKings even got a memorable sequel to their melodic moments.

Although Dunkin and Affleck will never say bye bye bye to their love affair, this year’s Big Game Spot is more than just going back to the block. As seen in the preview clip aired during the GRAMMYs, Affleck wants to bring something back and he needs some friends to make it happen.

Although this “forgotten masterpiece” might have created more patina than shine, Affleck believe that his friends will be there for him. It might not be a couch in front of a fountain, but this couch holds some TV legends.

What will Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc and Jason Alexander say about this “Golden Cringe” forgotten masterpiece? Although it probably is not a shag haircut, nod to a key catchphrase or something about shrinkage, the reality is nostalgia makes everything seem possible.

In a way, Dunkin plays into that newstalgia trend with a fun, creative way. 90s are having a moment. It is more than Joey Fatone winning everyone over on stage or the hype over the return of the snack wrap. Old is new again. Familiar becomes the favorite.

Although the younger generation will certainly cringe at Affleck’s use of catchphrases, and even possibly his Boston accent, the reality is that this spot appeals to the disposable income generation. Who hasn’t lingered a little longer at a Dunkin’ just to get out of the house. Who didn’t do a late-night doughnut run knowing that a Boston Cream doughnut would be available? Who wouldn’t hit the drive-thru on the way to a job interview just for that extra boost of confidence?

What will be that masterpiece? Be sure to watch the Big Game for the spot to be revealed on February 8, 2026. Until then, let the speculation begin.
