During the annual Food and Wine Festival, Walt Disney World chefs blend innovative plates with perennial favorites. As the event celebrates its 30th year, the menu captures that idea across the marketplaces. At Epcot’s The Wedge, the cheese-centric space puts Wisconsin Cheese in the spotlight that it deserves.
Time and again, Wisconsin Cheese and its many cheese purveyors and farmers give people many reasons to enjoy another bite, slice, and wedge of cheese. From the delightfully squeaky curds to a rich, smoky gouda, there are hundreds of choices.
Over the years, Wisconsin Cheese has found fun and innovative ways to highlight its cheese and the artisans behind that food. From its Art of Cheese event in Madison to encouraging people to “dream of cheese,” each concept engages people in that food conversation. It might start with a bite of a familiar favorite food only to delve into a bold choice that has never seen the charcuterie board.
At the 2026 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, CommuniCore Hall has become The Wedge. The latest transformation celebrates all things cheese. From the many cheeses used in various menu items throughout the festival to cheesy fun facts, the interactive space is a perfect spot to recharge during the day.
The marketplace’s menu features cheese-centric food. In addition to the Wisconsin Cheese plate, there are mac and cheese option. These elevated choices are far different from that blue box, but they are approachable enough to appeal to a wide range of palates. Additionally, there is a tasty cannoli shake for dessert and some nice wine options for pairings.

Which Wisconsin Cheese is Featured on the Epcot’s The Wedge Menu?
Available at Epcot’s The Wedge in the CommuniCore Hall, the Wisconsin Cheese plate features three cheeses plus dried fruit, jam, and a nut brittle. The three cheeses are: Glacier point Blue Spruce Blue, Carr Valley Cheese, VAT 17 World Cheddar, Deer Creek Cheese, and Pleasant Ridge Reserve – Uplands Cheese.
Cheese lovers will recognize the brands on this plate. They are a stellar representation of the craftsmanship of the state’s cheesemakers. These offerings are delightful on their own and offer a strong progression when enjoyed together.
VAT 17 World Cheddar
The VAT 17 World Cheddar, Deer Creek Cheese has been recognized as a premiere cheddar. This offering is inspired by cheddars from around the globe. The cheese has nuttiness with a little tanginess. When combined with the dried fruit, the flavors pop. If serving this cheese at home, consider a tart granny smith apple pairing.
This cheese works well with a cabernet sauvignon. Pairing it with a brown ale brings out the nuttiness. Also, the cheese works well with a bourbon cocktail.
Glacier Point Blue Spruce Blue
Glacier Point Blue Spruce Blue from Carr Valley Cheese will appeal to sophisticated palates. It is a splendid blue that showcases the cheesemaker’s artisan craftsmanship. The small batch, award winning cheese has moments of subtlety and contrasts rich blue flavor.
For people who do not prefer blue cheese, this option will need some of the jam to tame the flavor. Additionally, it would have been smart to offer some cracker or a bread option to give cheese newbies a gentler approach to this cheese.
Pleasant Ridge Reserve
Lastly, the Pleasant Ridge Reserve – Uplands Cheese is a wonderful example of Alpine style cheese. It is a great example how grass-fed cows add to a cheese’s flavor profile.
This cheese is truly the star on the plate. Its long list of accolades and awards are well-deserved. The slightly salty quality makes it an easy pairing. Also, it has a lovely fruity quality which makes it approachable to many palates. This cheese is the one that every should savor.
Wisconsin Cheese and Disney chefs did a lovely job of balancing familiar with options that will push people. Priced under $10, the value on this plate is tremendous. While the wine pairings are nice, a great bourbon cocktail would be even better with this plate. Too bad guests cannot sneak the plate up to Geo 82 to have with that brown butter bourbon cocktail.
Epcot Food and Wine Festival runs through November 21, 2026. The festival is included in the Disney Parks admission. Food and beverage purchases, like Epcot’s The Wedge options, are separate.
All three of the Wisconsin Cheese offerings can be purchased online and in various stores.
