The classic Capri Sun has been a staple for decades. Now, the classic drink got a simple, yet big, upgrade, and adults will not have to sneak one from the kids anymore. This one is just the right size for the older clientele.

Who doesn’t have fond memories of spearing that Capri Sun at lunch. Sometimes the straw fell into the pouch. Occasionally, the drink squirted everywhere. And, some people might have turns the empty pouch into a balloon.

Time and again, boxes of this simple drinks lined the pantry, were handed out after the game, and even were an after school treat. But, adults can feel a little sheepish about taking the kids’ drink. The pouch looks minuscule in their bigger hands. Even that thirst for nostalgia makes it feel like something is missing. Luckily, there is a solution.

Speaking about the change, said Claire Lukaszewski, Associate Brand Director of Capri Sun, “Capri Sun fans have strong feelings about the pouches that shaped their childhoods, and that passion plays an important role in how we think about innovation. There’s an emotional connection to this brand that spans generations, and we don’t take that for granted. We want our fans to have a meaningful role in shaping what we do and the Big Pouch is one way we’re putting that belief into practice.”

When Is the Capri Sun Big Pouch Coming?

Joining previous limited-edition offerings, the Capri Sun Big Pouch will hit Walmart.com on September 21. It will retail for $6 and has every limited availability. Sales end on September 24. On both Instagram and TikTok, the brand will share when fans have a chance to score one.

As everyone can see, feedback on the concept has received rave reviews. That chatter could lead the popular beverage brand to keep the Big Pouch on the market. Although the concept would not be immediate, who wouldn’t want a $6 drink that is three times the size of the regular one.

This concept follows other limited-time drops from Capri Sun. It is a reminder that food and beverages need to be fun. Whether it is larger size formats, innovative twists on favorite flavors, or just cute pop culture references, people crave a feeling not just quenching a thirst. Empty should be the container, not the sentiment, when a person is finishing enjoying a treat.

Does the Big Pouch have a possibility of staying on the market? In today’s world where value needs to be infused into every conversation, it seems likely. As long as that dollar cost averaging comes out in the consumer’s favor, people will put it in their carts.
