Ready to power up your Burger King order? The New Dragon Ball Super Menu is here. It is time to dip into this special sauce and channel your favorite character.

Quick service restaurants understand that collectible meals are big business. Many limited time offerings target kids meals and movie tie-ins. But, all-ages order these specialty food items.

Year ago, the concept was limited to unique packaging and a collectible toy. Today’s menu additions feature flavor storytelling. From sauces inspired by characters to ingredients plucked from an iconic moment, these food items take the fun off the screen and put it on the table.

As Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King U.S. & Canada explained, “At Burger King, we’re always looking for ways to create experiences that go beyond the meal. Dragon Ball Super has inspired generations, and this collaboration gives families a fun, unexpected way to engage with a world they love while enjoying delicious new and innovative menu items that are fun for fans of all ages.”

What Is on the Burger King Dragon Ball Super Menu?

According to Burger King, the Dragon Ball Super menu features 10-piece Chicken Nuggets with New Super Saiyan Sauce, Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade, Medium Fry and a Dragon Ball Super Figurine. Of course, mega fans will want to collect all six exclusive character figurines. They include Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, and Beerus.

While the figurine keeps the conversation going long after the meal ends, it is the Super Saiyan Sauce that is one guests will want to stay on the menu. A teriyaki-style sauce, it is sweet, savory, and tangy. The flavor amplifies the new and improved crispy chicken nuggets.

The multi-dimensional sauce is delicious on chicken nuggets, but it is equally as tasty on fries. It would be good for Burger King to have a version of this sauce on its menu permanently. If the goal is to invigorate sales of the revamped chicken nuggets, sauces keep people coming back for another order.

The other winner in this meal is the Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade. The Mango Peach Lemonade features mango flavored popping boba. Yes, the boba are a nice twist, but it is more than those juicy sweet pops in every sip.

The mango and peach with a slightly sweet and tart lemonade is a not a typical combination. Mango leans tropical while peach feels more homey. There is an inherent juiciness. More importantly, it feels more sophisticated, like it leveled up the traditional drink. After a few sips, it is time to start pairing these flavors together more frequently.
