From astronauts enjoying a spoonful in space to kids begging for it on their pancakes, Nutella is one of the most beloved spreads. That iconic chocolate hazelnut flavor has been transformed into ice cream. How will you enjoy your first scoop of Nutella Ice Cream?
While people can debate the best ice cream flavor, the reality is that the frozen dessert is always a popular choice. Gigantic scoops in a bowl or packed into a cone, every bite needs to be devoured before it melts.
Although plain ice cream is tasty, swirls, toppings and other mix-ins make every bite even more enjoyable. Not only does the additional ingredients enhance the flavor, but the change in textures also adds to eating enjoyment.
With the new Nutella Ice Cream, it is a celebration of chocolate, creaminess and indulgence. One bite and no one will have plain ice cream again.
As Isabella Chia, Chief Marketing Officer at Wells Enterprises said, “Nutella is one of the most trusted flavors in the world and our job was simple: don’t mess it up. Every decision we made was in service of delivering exactly what fans expect, now in a format they can enjoy straight from the freezer.”

Nutella Ice Cream Has Me Screaming for Another Scoop
Recently, I had the opportunity to try both a container of the Nutella Ice Cream as well as the Nutella Ice Cream in a cone. While both are quite enjoyable, one will continually show up in my shopping cart.
The container version has a rich layer of Nutella that must be broken through to scoop the ice cream. The top layer cracks to reveal the creamy frozen dessert. It is just the right amount of thickness to have a delightful meltable factor. As it goes from hard to slightly softened, it envelops the scoop. It is like the shiny wrapping paper that reveals the perfect sweet present.
The ice cream, itself, is quite enjoyable. With Nutella swirls, the creamy with the indulgent makes every bite an adventure. Some are overly chocolatey and others more subtle.
The key to the perfect bowl is to ensure the top Nutella layer covers the serving. Digging down to the bottom is vital. Everyone deserves a taste of that top layer.
The cones are equally as enjoyable. It has just the right amount of ice cream to cone. Additionally, it still has the Nutella layer. Although this version makes it a little harder to save that gooey chocolate hazelnut for the last bite.
The portability of the cones is perfect for summer. Whether it is a backyard party, mid-day treat or just because, the cone is the right size for any and every occasion.
While both frozen desserts are quite enjoyable, I will be buying more of the containers. Not only can I control the portion size, it offers more of a “choose your own adventure” eating enjoyment.
The Nutella Ice Cream – 14-Fluid-Ounce Containers have a suggested retail price of $4.36. Nutella Ice Cream – 3.04-Fluid-Ounce Single-Serve Cones are sold in a 4-cone package with a suggested retail price of $5.47.
