That initial glance creates anticipation for the first bite. Every time, the culinary team delivers big, bold flavors. Blending authenticity and approachability, the various menu items ensure that every guest finds something that appeals to their food preferences.
What Are the World Baseball Classic Specialty Hot Dogs?
Available at select locations in loanDepot Park, there are five World Baseball Classic specialty hot dogs. Each one represents a different country. They are Dominican Republic, Israel, Netherlands, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
Guests can order each hot dog separately or they can order a one-of-a-kind hot dog flight. While the larger order requires a hearty appetite, it can be a shareable meal. Sparking a conversation about food, flavors and culture can be as exciting as a home run at the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Dominican Republic offering is the Tiguere. Garlic-cilantro sauce, crispy tostones and cheddar cheese top the hot dog. The key to this dish is the various textures. Crunchy and cheesy is always a hit.
An unlikely hot dog flavor combination, the Israel Tahini Dog combines pickles and tahini sauce. This option deserves a bite just to appreciate the unusual pairing.
The Netherlands Frikandel Broodie might be difficult to say but it is the perfect option to pair with a beer. The deep fried hot dog is topped with curry, mayo and onions. Although everyone will need a mint afterwards, the pungent ingredients are worth it.
The Nicaragua Fritanga Dog is unexpected. While some people will balk at the cilantro, the subtle crunch from the pepitas and the cooling crema is nice.
Lastly, the Venezuela Perro Con Todo is literally the hot dog with everything. Although the pink sauce is a little much, the onion, cabbage and cotija cheese is tasty.
The World Baseball Classic hot dog flight is available at The Bullpen Bar and Grill. The Change Up offers each hot dog individually.
Are these Levy Restaurant items a flavor home run? If you get to try one, let us know how it tastes.
