As Figment sparks imagination across Epcot, the annual Festival of the Arts celebrates Disney storytelling in the plate. While the chef starts the first chapter, the interactive elements of several dishes inject guests into the experience. Flavor and fun combine to make culinary magical moments.
One key element to Festival of the Arts food menu is the “chose your own adventure” plates. These dishes are more than just the deconstructed dish marketplace. While those items are the most obvious, how, when and what questions create discussion. Food pairings and menu progressions spark flavorful conversations beyond the plate.
For example, many people debate the “best” starting country for imbibing around the world. The first dish eaten in the colorful cuisine walk is equally as telling. Savory or sweet offers a glimpse into people’s food preferences. That food adventure creates a new story on every visit to the festival.

While Figment has his imprint in many 2026 Festival of the Arts dishes and Fictional Victuals channels iconic tales, a nod to Broadway would be a nice choice. Dishes inspired by Sardi’s, Carnegie Deli or even Serendipity would be a fun crossover and incorporate an aspect of Disney on Broadway.
While the classic Enchanted Rose, a chocolate mousse, is a Beauty and the Beast moment and even a few dishes can see a musical influence, a stronger tie to some iconic New York City restaurants forever connected to the Great White Way would excite musical lovers. Even just a few cocktails referencing an operatic moment, Mrs. Potts tea or or an African vista could be nice.
Since Festival of the Arts allows Disney chefs to push their culinary creativity, the possibilities are many. Given that the event is the shortest Epcot festival, it has some room for error. Just like a live musical performance’s unpredictable nature adds to the excitement, stepping away from the familiar can be just what Disney guests need. After all, a mimosa with boba transformed into an iconic Avatar inspired drink. Just think of what could be tested for Villains Land or Encanto?
Until those moments transform from imagination to reality, everyone will have to enjoy 2026 Festival of the Arts one more time. Then, it is time to graze on the bountiful menu of Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival.
