After stocking up on chips, dips and pounds of chicken wings, a game day food spread needs a sweet ending. The Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest winning Big Win Cookie Bark Recipe gets cheers all around.

Home bakers trust Pillsbury. From the classic crescent rolls to the ready to bake cookies, those foods are staples. While each one is delicious on their own, they are also the foundation to some amazing and creative recipes.

Each year, the Pillsbury Bake-Off challenges bakers to push the creativity, capture a theme and captivate the judges. This year’s contest pitted savory versus sweet game day recipes. As seen with the final four, two savory and two sweet, were flavorful, easy and crowd pleasers.

Speaking about the event, Michelle Odland, VP, Business Unit Director for Pillsbury at General Mills explained, “The Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest has always celebrated the creativity of home bakers who turn everyday moments into something special. Our final contenders really ran with this year’s theme and brought that game day spirit, transforming classic Pillsbury biscuits, crescents and cookies into recipes that deserve a spot at any MVP-worthy spread. We can’t wait to see who comes out on top!”

The 53rd Pillsbury Bake-Off winning recipe is the Big Win Cookie Bark. This recipe earned praise for the most valuable baker, but also it is a recipe that any home baker can make. Plus, it is customizable for any occasion.

America’s favorite football mom, Donna Kelce, commented, “Big Win Cookie Bark is exactly the kind of recipe you want on the table for the Big Game,” said America’s favorite football mom Donna Kelce. “The 53rd Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest winning recipe comes together quickly thanks to Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough, is easy to serve a crowd, and is fun to customize with sprinkles or candies to show a little team pride. I love using Pillsbury when I’m cooking with my grandkids, and this recipe really reflects that. It’s a kid-friendly treat made for watch party celebrations that bring the whole family together.”

This “bark” is a creative take on a cookie. The thin, crispy texture with all the toppings is visually compelling yet extremely simple to make. Kids or even the reluctant baking partner can make it.

Another key element that earned this recipe high praise is it can be customized for any team. Red, green or gold, bakers can choose any color combination.

And, the baking recipe is not just for a big game party. It works for birthday parties, Valentine’s Day or even just when someone needs a special treat.

Personally, I would love to see this recipe with some crushed nuts, diced dried fruit or even a little drizzle of hot honey versus the melted chocolate. Some flavor depth is always a good choice.
