It is time to give Eggo’s new flavor an enthusiastic up vote. In collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters, the new addition to the frozen waffle brand channels a traditional Korean street food. Do not let anyone grab this tasty treat.

Eggo has been strategic with its limited time flavor drops and pop culture collaborations. For example, the Stranger Things partnership took a simple moment in a show and turned it into a food phenomena. From bold visuals to fun packaging, everyone wanted to toast some waffles to enjoy while watching every episode.

The newest product drop is both a collaboration with the uber successful KPop Demon Hunters and a taste of traditional Korean food. Many people will buy a box for the pop culture connection, but they will return for the delicious taste.

As Cara Tragseiler, Growth & Marketing Lead, Eggo explained, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Netflix’s hit global phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters to launch a new Eggo waffle flavor that will give our fans a delicious way to make mornings more golden. We’re always looking for ways to bring unexpected, flavorful fun to breakfast through our limited-time offerings. By bringing the globally inspired flavors of hotteok to our waffles, we’re helping consumers to celebrate the film and culture it was inspired by.”

What Can People Expect from Eggo’s New Flavor?

The Eggo x Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters Golden Brown Sugar Cinnamon Waffles are both a nod to the Netflix juggernaut and Korean food. First, the name references “Golden,” the ear worm song that people cannot get out of their headspace. Even if someone has never watched the film instantly recognizes the beat.

More importantly, the specialty flavor is an approachable way to give a wider audience a taste of hotteok. The popular Korean street food is a sweet pancake stuffed with cinnamon sugar filling. One bite has people instantly entranced.

This Eggo version takes the dish’s core flavors and gives it their own spin. While the cinnamon brings a cozy, comforting vibe, the brown sugar adds just the right amount of sweetness. It feels familiar yet exciting. Overall, it is an approachable, fun way to connect a Korean snack with the popular film.

Since the film encourages self-expression, the Eggo’s new flavor presents a great opportunity to create a signature dish. Whether it is topping the waffle with some Korean fried chicken, adding some gochujang for spice, or just smothering it with some apples and hot honey, there are plenty of options to explore. Sometimes experimenting with ingredients is the best part of the food experience.

The limited-edition Eggo x Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters Golden Brown Sugar Cinnamon Waffles are in stores now. The suggested retail price is $3.69. Check with retailers for availability.
