Who doesn’t love a free food offer? Since 2009, McAlister’s Deli Free Tea Day is more than just sipping the restaurant brand’s iconic beverage. It celebrates community and the people within it.
As many people know, July 16 is Free Tea Day at McAlister’s Deli. Anyone and everyone can visit a participating local restaurant to receive a free beverage. No additional purchase is required.
Guests can receive one Big Tea. They can choose from Sweet Tea, Unsweet Tea, Sweet Tea/Unsweet Tea, Tea/Lemonade, Flavored Teas, and one Flavor Shot per Tea.
With all the value meal promotions enticing people to visit a restaurant, this annual promotion wants to be more than just another freebie. It is a taste of the Southern hospitality served with every McAlister’s Deli experience. It is that “little extra” that makes the experience even sweeter.
As Jessica Osborne, Vice President of Marketing at McAlister’s Deli explained, “Free Tea Day is our way of saying thank you to our guests, our neighborhoods and the people who make them stronger every day. Whether it’s sharing a glass of tea with friends, family or coworkers, these everyday moments help create the sense of connection that’s always been at the heart of our brand.”
What Free Beverage Should You Sip on McAlister’s Deli Free Tea Day?
McAlister’s Deli tea is a signature restaurant beverage. Just like Baja Blast originated at Taco Bell and Chili’s will always be known for its President Margarita, the iconic iced tea is deeply rooted into the McAlister’s food experience.
There are a few reasons why this iced tea tastes better. It has been crafted to have the perfect flavor and it starts with the ice in the glass.
Yes, that crystal clear, perfectly sized ice ensures that the tea has its signature flavor. Unlike some iced coffees, it is important to have that ice to beverage ratio. It is not about watering down, it is about balancing the flavor.
Additionally, McAlister’s Deli allows people to customize their iced tea. Whether it is 1/3 sweet tea to 2/3 regular, a splash of lemonade, or the complicated pumps of extra flavors, customized beverages are welcome. It might not be the super secret recipe grandma would never reveal, but it allows people to celebrate their preferences.
Since Free Tea Day always falls in July, my preference is a half sweet tea with a pump of peach. That juicy stone fruit flavor tastes just like summer. It is just sweet enough without being cloying. There might not be a rocking chair on a back porch, but it captures all those summer vibes in the first sip.
On July 16, do not miss McAlister’s Deli Free Tea Day and share that “little extra” with a friend, neighbor, or a total stranger. Community, comradery, and companionship are at the heart of real connections. Food is the common connector and it is more enjoyable when paired with a meaningful beverage.
