While the popular fast casual restaurant has iconic songs like Asian Zing, Buffalo Wild Wings is always ready to push chicken wings’ flavor boundaries. To start the summer, two new core sauces join the menu. Will one of these flavors replace that longstanding favorite?

According to Buffalo Wild Wings, the two new core sauces are Golden Fire Sauce and Buffalo Ranch Sauce. Both flavors bring the heat but temper the flavor to make it approachable to a wider audience.

The Golden Fire Sauce starts with tangy Carolina Gold. That classic sauce has a little sweet, but it has that mustard forward punch. Infused into the sauce are fiery chiles. The flavor has a slow build with an intense finish. It does not completely overwhelm the palate, but it compels people go back for another bite.

The Buffalo Ranch Sauce takes the classic chicken wing pairing and takes it up a notch. The vinegar forward Buffalo sauce gets a creamy, herby upgrade. Since Buffalo sauce can be a little liquid, the ranch infusion makes it more viscous. It is the sauce that people have made on their own but in a more consistent format.

While both sauces are quite tasty, the Golden Fire Sauce is a must try. While there are plenty of spicy, or even swicy, sauces, the riff on a classic barbecue sauce shows some creativity. It might not have a side of coleslaw or some baked beans, but this sauce captures summertime vibes in every bite.

What New Beverage Pairs Perfectly with the New Buffalo Wild Wings Core Sauces?

As America celebrates its 250th, restaurants and many food brands roll out some red, white and blue inspired creations. Buffalo Wild Wings is shaking up a new cocktail for the occasion.

The Red, White and Booze Lemonade is available now through August 18. It starts with classic lemonade, then adds Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cointreau, lemon sour, cane sugar, Blue Curacao, grenadine, fresh lemon, and Starry.

The layered colors make a snappable visual, but that layered moment can be fleeting. One good stir and the colors become muddled.

More importantly, the flavors work together well. The punch of sour and a hint of sweet make this cocktail quite drinkable. Given that it goes down easy, it is best to sip slowly. No one wants to miss all the fun by over imbibing.

But, it would have been nice for Buffalo Wild Wings to offer a non-alcoholic option. Given the cocktail’s build, it is hard to recreate this recipe into a mocktail.

Both the new Buffalo Wild Wings core sauces and cocktail are available now. Check with local restaurants for availability and pricing.
