It is time to head out to a ballgame. As the MLB season begins, a popular food and beverage offering returns in a bigger way. Aramark’s 9-9-9 Challenge is back and bigger than ever.
Even though RBIs and ERAs influence which team earns the W, the reality is that baseball fans crave delicious food and beverage experiences. Today’s stadiums serve more than just pretzels and pizzas. Even the iconic hot dog has flavorful twists to how it is served.
When the 9-9-9- Challenge hit stadiums, people took the concept quite seriously. It was a test of endurance. It was not just snacking up to the Seventh Inning stretch. The idea eating a hot dog and drinking a beer for every inning became a badge of honor.
Even though the 2025 Philadelphia Phillies postseason moment took over the conversation, it continues to resonate with baseball fans. Now, more baseball stadiums are joining the craze. Aramark made the concept an integral part of the new season’s menus.
According to Alison Birdwell, President and CEO of Aramark Sports + Entertainment, “A new season brings a chance to re-energize the fan experience, especially as we prepare for the 2026 MLB All‑Star Game in Aramark’s hometown of Philadelphia this summer. With that momentum in mind, our teams set out to create new culinary concepts, reimagined retail experiences, and unique in‑venue activations across our portfolio — all with a focus on amplifying what makes baseball so special and creating signature moments that fans will carry long after the final out.”
Where Can Baseball Fans Enjoy Aramark’s 9-9-9 Challenge?
For the 2026 MLB season, Aramark’s 9-9-9 Challenge expands to six ballparks. Participating locations are Citi Field (Willets Point Brewery); Citizens Bank Park (Section 128); Coors Field (Fanfare, Section 139); Daikin Park (Crawford Dogs, Sections 109, 418); Kauffman Stadium (Double Dip Hoagies, Section 247); and Oracle Park (Doggie Diner, Scoreboard Plaza).
In this version, the hot dog and beer combo features nine mini hot dogs and nine flight‑sized beers enjoyed over nine innings. Even though the portions are smaller, it is a hefty food and beverage offering. The individual serving is doable, but the total amount requires dedication to finish.
Additionally, the specialty food and beverage pairing comes in team-colored packaging. The collectible item turns a game time moment into a bragging experience for the whole season.
The combination of the total game experience, shareable moment and collectible packaging turns this Aramark food and beverage offering into the must order item. Even for the person with a smaller appetite, they will be willing to splurge for the special occasion. After all, everyone deserves a cheat day.
Ready to head to a ballgame? Hopefully the specialty food will score like a favorite team’s winning seventh inning run.
